UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 24, 2018. EVRAZ Holding’s Raspadskaya Coal Company presented Miners’ Healthcare Center in Leninsk-Kuznetsky with a Mercedes-Benz critical care transport ambulance; the CCT unit is fitted with all the modern critical care diagnostics equipment and intensive care/first-aid appliances.

‘The new CCT unit has a defibrillator, an ECG unit, inhalation anaesthesia unit and an artificial lung ventilator. There’s an ultrasonic air filter and the patient and team furniture fixtures. Doctors can now examine their patients and carry out resuscitation procedures if necessary right on the spot,’ the company press service reports.

Miners’ Healthcare Center in Leninsk-Kuznetsky has been helping the coal miners since 1993. There are now eleven CCT units at its disposal.

Raspadskaya Coal Company sees its miners’ healthcare, as well as timely, high quality medical support, as its top priorities. The new CCT unit was purchased with the framework of an ad hoc program to support Kemerovo Region’s locals’ health. The company invested more than RUB 5 million into the new ambulance.

Raspadskaya Coal Company’s Director-General Sergey Stepanov was recently awarded a special medal (‘Miners’ Healthcare Center Turns 25’) for his long-standing contribution and financial support of the center.
