CentroTech’s Project Wins TsAGI Contest

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 19, 2018. Making Polymeric Composite-Material Radio-transparent Radomes Used in Air Navigation Appliances for Civil Aviation Sector, a project submitted by CentroTech Scientific & Production Association (Rosatom/TVEL’s Novouralsk asset), won silver at the innovative project contest coordinated by N.Ye. Zhukovsky Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI), Rosatom’s Ural Electrochemical Combine’s press service reports.

The contest finalists and winners were named during TsAGI’s celebrations dedicated to the college’s 100th birthday on December 6. The silver-winning project was presented by its authors, Deputy Director-General for Promising Products Mikhail Smirnov and Head of Design/Tech Department Andrei Dmitriyev.

‘Despite the fierce competition among the projects submitted by aerospace enterprises and organizations in the final stages of the contest, we managed to make an impressive presentation of CentroTech’s potential (and the potential of its workers). This is a great incentive to keep moving forward,’ Dmitriyev said.

The contest winners will be invited to join Skolkovo Foundation initiatives aimed at accelerating the startup projects in the aviation industry.
