UrBC, Chelyabinsk, October 18, 2018. M.I. Glinka Chelyabinsk State Opera & Ballet Theater’s Children’s Singing School is going to stage an opera at the initiative of and with financial support from ChelPipe Group’s shareholders Andrei Komarov and Alexander Fedorov, the Group’s press service reports.
The Cat's House by A.P. Kulagin/S.Ya. Marshak is a special treat for visitors to ChelPipe Group’s 16th Snezhnost Charity Festival in December 2018. All the parts will be performed by the children’s school’s students. The young performers are now rehearsing and going to choreography, singing, and acting practice. Thanks to the Group’s financial support, all the classes are free of charge.
‘The children’s singing school got set up in last year and is now one of the Southern Urals’ largest youth leisure centers. The students can now sing and act much more skillfully and are already contributing to Chelyabinsk State Opera & Ballet Theater’s productions such as Carmen, The Queen of Spades, Gräfin Mariza, and Pagliacci alongside professional singers. They also had some parts in La bohème, a guest performance by the Bolshoi Theater, which is a great honor and a tremendously important experience for the school’s students and teachers,’ says ChelPipe Group’s Head of Social & Charity Projects Olga Stebunova.
