Sverdlovsk Region’s IPI Down 7.5%

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 17, 2018. Sverdlovsk Region’s industrial production index (IPI) dropped by 7.5% in September 2018 compared with one month earlier, Sverdlovskstat reports.
The IPI went down by 8.5% in the processing industry sector, including a 28.1% decrease in the drinks industry, a 34.1% drop in the textile industry, and a 22.4% drop in the pharmaceuticals production sector.
The IPI also went down by 11.9% in the sector for production and distribution of electric power.
Compared with September 2017, however, Sverdlovsk Region’s IPI rose by 6.3%.
