UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 20, 2018. Over two hundred streets in sixty-five different towns in the Urals can now enjoy a more stable mobile signal and faster Internet connection thanks to MegaFon Ural’s engineers doing large-scale tech repairs and upgrades in the summer, which resulted in considerably improvement in quality, the company press service reports.

The repairs and improvements covered the towns with total population of over nine million people. The company engineers set up new communication infrastructure in conurbations, larger cities, villages, Yugra’s oil deposit locations, and along highways.

‘The spots with the largest workload got worked on, as well as the remote locations where a stronger signal was needed. We set up dozens of base stations there in the summer. Thanks to our efforts, both the signal quality and the Internet connection speed improved greatly,’ says MegaFon Ural’s Infrastructure Director Anton Scherbakov.
