17 September 2018 (09:50)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 17, 2018. EVRAZ Holding’s Alardinskaya Mine was the first of the holding’s member enterprise Raspadskaya Coal Company’s assets to produce 2,000,000,000 kg of coal from a single mine this year, EVRAZ’s press service reports.
This output record for Long-Face 3-38 was set by Alexei Komarov’s team from Section 1 (foreman: Valeriy Kuznetsov).
As is the custom there, the company management arrived to congratulate the miners on their success. The workers then presented Raspadskaya Coal Company’s Director-General Sergey Stepanov with a symbolic rock with the inscription ‘2,000,000 ’ on it. Stepanov thanked the miners for their production efforts and wished them very safe shifts.
‘The valuable KS coal that comes from Alardinskaya Mine currently has a 10% to 15% share of the Russian coal market, which makes Alardinskaya an important enterprise on the national scale; the mine is certainly one of Raspadskaya Coal Company’s flagship assets as well. The primary goal for the coming year is to switch to the promising Mine Section 6, where a new long-face will get started on in the spring of 2019. The coal coming from that new section is believed to be of even better quality than the kind we are currently extracting,’ Stepanov said.
