Russia: 12.5% Of Borrowers Direct Half Of Monthly Income to Loan Repayments
29 August 2018 (09:29)
UrBC, Moscow, August 29, 2018. Approximately every one in ten Russian loan-takers (12.5%) have to direct 50% or more of their monthly income to repay their loans as of January-June 2018, Izvestia reports.
Three years previously (January-June 2015) their share was actually 15.14%.
According to the Bank of Russia, the decrease in the number of heavily debt-burdened borrowers has to do with the fact that quite a few mortgage-takers have recently gone for the refinancing schemes available to them.
