MMK Gets New Vehicles for Plant’s Firefighting Department
25 July 2018 (09:31)
UrBC, Magnitogorsk, July 25, 2018. MMK’s Director-General Pavel Shilyayev handed two new fire tank trucks to Firefighting Department 20 that is in charge of ensuring fire safety at the plant, the company press service reports.
A metallurgical enterprise is generally classified as increased fire hazard location. Firefighting Department 20 is the plant’s oldest and has always dealt with any fire safety issues on the site successfully, be it putting out a fire, rescuing people and items of value, or dealing with emergencies and accidents.
In 2016, two obsolete ZIL 131 trucks had to be written off, so the department only had a dozen fire tank trucks instead of the fourteen required by Chelyabinsk Region division of Russia’s Ministry of Emergencies. Now the department has a full set.
