MMK Offers Job Counseling At Schools
24 July 2018 (09:25)
UrBC, Magnitogorsk, July 24, 2018. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) is contributing to the company’s job counseling project, MMK press service reports.
The project was originally proposed by the Children’s Arts & Crafts Center in Magnitogorsk’s District Ordzhonikidzevsky.
The Center’s employee and the project manager Evgenia Moskaleva believes a company as large as MMK has a lot of corporate social responsibility to stay aware of. The local youth aren’t necessarily aware of what the company has to offer and often leave after they finish school.
What is more, the young men and women don’t always know about the places they would find useful for learning and getting new skills, places such as the local business incubator and MMK Industrial Park.
So the project’s main goal is to get the students acquainted with Magnitogorsk’s potential, and with its growing enterprises. Both the school-leavers and their parents should be aware of how jobs are changing and of how new skills get called for. It’s important to make sure teachers get access to this information and spread it further,’ Moskaleva said.
Both schoolchildren and teachers had a guided tour of MMK recently. MMK Group’s Mekhanoremontny Kompleks, together with head of Personal Information Center Maria Pushkarskaya, acted as the primary coordinators of the event.
