MMK Selects Supplier of The Year

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, July 12, 2018. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) selected its Supplier of The Year 2017, MMK’s Information & PR Department reports.
The contest aims to distinguish and encourage the company suppliers and help them focus on ongoing performance improvement programs.
The contest has been coordinated for the third year in a row; the awarding ceremony at MMK plant office’s conference hall, was attended by the company Director-General Pavel Shilyayev.
‘MMK is doing business with some 1,700 suppliers, and our relations with these partners are seen as one of the key aspects of the company’s successful development. We work to assess our cooperation’s efficiency on a regular basis. Every quarter, a rating of suppliers gets put together for the purpose. We also coordinate tech audits of our manufacturers and hold monthly meetings in the Doors Open format. However, we decided to top it all with a contest to select the best of the best,’ Shilyayev said.
MMK’s experts’ panel selected the company’s best suppliers in eighteen different categories.
