Akademicheskiy: Construction of New Temple Begins June 17

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 18, 2018. The foundation for a new temple will be laid in Yekaterinburg's District Akademicheskiy on June 17. The church will be located next to an innovative medical cluster whose construction began in March, RSG-Akademicheskoye's press service reports.
The cross will be put up on the construction site on Sunday. The ceremony will by performed by Metropolitan Kirill of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturiye and attended by the management of RSG-Akademicheskoye's (KORTROS Corporation), as the developer intends to assist in the construction process.
''The place will be known as Botkinsky Temple, in memory of Evgeniy S. Botkin, who was Emperor Nicholas II's family doctor and died a martyr's death alongside the Tsar and the Russian Royal Family. The Russian Orthodox Church's Primates' Council had Botkin canonized as a passion-bearer in February 2016,' the press service says.
The new parish will be open to people living near the medical cluster as well as in other parts of the sprawling District Akademicheskiy.
The ceremony begins at 2 PM on June 17, 2018.
