MMK Invests RUR 100m in Sports & Healthcare

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, April 10, 2018. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) came up with a report on its healthcare and sports projects in 2017, the company press service reports.
‘MMK sees promotion of sports activities and regular workouts as one of its CSR priorities. Extensive sports facilities infrastructure has been created in Magnitogorsk to provide venues for sports and active pastimes. MMK carries out its projects on physical education and sports development and promotion of a healthier lifestyle among its workers and their families through Metallurg-Magnitogorsk Sports Club,’ the press service says.
The club coordinated 62 sports events within the framework of its A Healthier Lifestyle Program, with some 9,500 MMK Group’s workers and their family members taking part. Some 3,500 people joined the ten sports categories of the winter amateur Olympics and the nine categories of the summer games. Additionally, MMK workers and their families went to the local water park more than 34,000 times.
