UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 27, 2018. EVRAZ Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Works (NTMK) made over 1,300,000 kg of H beams suitable for making metal structures in 2017; these will be used for building the necessary infrastructure for Amur Gas Processing Plant, and the supply of beams onto the plant will continue this year as well.

According to EVRAZ Holding’s press service, the plant made H beams in nineteen different types for Russia’s largest natural gas processing plant. Some of the beams are made from low-allowed Steel 345.

EVRAZ NTMK’s product range currently comprises more than three hundred different hot-rolled beam types; the plant is the national market leader in the beam segment, as well as No.1 on the CIS market. In 2017, the plant started making construction beams with increased strength grade (S 390 and S 440) and can now make a beam of any length between six and twenty-four meters.

The company’s highly durable H beams are made from vanadium-alloyed steel and get lab-tested for strength at temperatures as low as 70 degrees centigrade. This means the end product is fully suitable for extremely cold climates.
