UrBC, Magnitogorsk, January 17, 2018. Sixteen families of metallurgical industry workers from different parts of the country joined the Metallurgists’ Family 2017 event in Moscow in early January. Three families of Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK Group) employees came to this conference as well.

‘This family-friendly event is coordinated by MMWU Central Council and Splav Foundation. People working at metallurgical enterprises in Belgorod, Chelyabinsk, Kaluga, Leningrad, Lipetsk, Moscow, Novgorod, Orenburg, Sverdlovsk, Volgograd, and Vologda Oblasts all came to Moscow for this occasion. A lot of preparations and selection rounds took place, including amateur performances and taking part in talent contests and sports challenges. The winning families had the honor of representing their constituencies and their companies at the final meeting,’ says MMK Information, PR & Advertising Department.

The event coordinators were faced with the challenge of making every family’s talents stand out. In the end, winners were selected in 33 different categories. Every family proved the best and received its set of certificates, medals, and prizes. They also left packed with impressions of holiday-season Moscow, Moskvarium, the Exhibition of National Economy Achievements, and the New Year children’s show in the Kremlin.
