MMK Signs Collective Agreement for 2018-2020

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, December 28, 2017. An employee conference was held at Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) today to adopt the Collective Agreement for the years 2018-2020 between the company management and the workers, MMK press service reports.

MMK Director-General Pavel Shilyayev presented his report on the plant’s production and social performance during the conference and also spoke about the company’s development strategy, environmental policy, and current CSR programs.

Interestingly, Forbes magazine declared MMK Russia’s best employer in October 2017. There were actually four Russian companies featured in this global rating based on direct surveys of company employees. The workers were asked to evaluate their companies’ image, working conditions, and professional growth opportunities. MMK scored much better than the other Russian companies presented in the rating.

MMK Group’s collective agreements have won numerous local and professional contests in the labor rights sector in the past.
