EVRAZ KGOK Ships 200,000,000 kg of Pellets to Customers

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 15, 2017. EVRAZ Holding’s Kachkanar Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise (KGOK) recently made and shipped to customer its 200,000th batch of 1,000 kg of pellets. The batch got delivered to Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Works (NTMK), where it will be used for making pig iron in blast furnaces, EVRAZ Holding Ural’s Corporate Relations Center reports.
’EVRAZ KGOK’s produce fully meets the metallurgical enterprises’ requirements. Thanks to its recent quality improvement programs, the company’s pelletizing plant only makes the best quality pellets that we can sell on both the home and the foreign markets,’ says EVRAZ KGOK and NTMK Managing Director Alexei Kushnarev.
The special, 200,000th batch of pellets got shipped to customer in the course of a solemn ceremony attended by the plant’s best workers, long-service employees, and EVRAZ KGOK top managers. The pellet-making team got honorary certificates in acknowledgement of their achievement. Shift No. 2, headed by foreman Oleg Barinov, who met all of their annual target output goals and produced great quality pellets, proved Team of The Year. Also, thank-you letters were given to fifteen employees.
Kachkanar Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise makes around 6,000,000,000,000 kg of high quality blast furnace charge with over 60% iron content. The pelletizing plant keeps working on product quality improvement and has managed to enhance the pellets’ mechanical strength, for example.
