EVRAZ: 300 Employees Compete in Young Manager Contest

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 17, 2017. Three hundred employees of EVRAZ Holding’s Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Works (NTMK) and Kachkanar Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise (KGOK) took part in the young manager contest recently, EVRAZ Holding Ural’s corporate relations center reports.

‘Mikhail Kazakovtsev proved the best young manager at NTMK. He works at the plant’s technical administration and is in charge of rolling production technologies and the construction of a new ball-rolling mill. Yuri Syumkin won the first prize at KGOK. He has worked at the plant for three years, starting as a bellman and moving on to pellet department foreman. He is now one of the prospective department heads,’ the press service says.

The company’s young manager contest took several stages and three months to complete. The contest challenges were targeted at testing the following managerial skills: efficient organization of team work, being result-oriented, assuming responsibility, and systemic thinking. NTMK and KGOK contestants competed with one another in a special business simulation game.
