EVRAZ KGOK Wins Job Safety Award

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 15, 2017. EVRAZ Holding’s Kachkanar Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise (EVRAZ KGOK) won bronze in Sverdlovsk Oblast Job Safety & Production Standards Contest, EVRAZ Holding Ural’s corporate relations center reports.
The contest got coordinated by Sverdlovsk Oblast’s Industry & Science Ministry. The winner’s certificate was signed by Governor Evgeny Kuivashev.
KGOK keep working to reduce the number of accidents at work and to improve working conditions. The plant’s workers all have uniforms and personal protective gear and enjoy increasingly better sanitary conditions.
The plant also keeps replacing the older bridge cranes with the more comfortable and safe versions, upgrading aspiration units, and introducing up-to-date energy-saving technologies at railway stations, mines, and production sites. The company runs nine canteens (three of them 24/7 ones). Plus, hot meals get delivered into all the mines.
The company directed around RUR 210m to job safety and industrial safety projects last year.
