FCG UES Gets Ready for Winter

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 1, 2017. Rosset’s Federal Grid Company United Energy Systems fully prepared its Urals-based power facilities for the upcoming fall and winter. The company invested some 2.2bn RUR in local infrastructure this year, the company press service reports.
Heating season preparations were attended to in the course of a meeting in Chelyabinsk on August 30. The meeting was chaired by Russia’s Energy Minister Andrei Cherezov and contributed to by FCG UES managers.
The company runs two subsidiaries in the area: MES Urals and MES Western Siberia. The company power engineers have so far cleared 4,440 hectares of electric line routes and repaired 506 km of electric mains as well as 1,600 units of power equipment at stations themselves.
The staff also takes part in emergency drills coordinated jointly with Russia’s Ministry of Emergencies and special drills meant to prepare workers for performing in cold climates.
