UrBC, Yekaterinburg, August 24, 2017. The telecommunications provider MegaFon presents Veterinaria, its new mobile platform aimed at state-run vet clinics; the system is currently unique to Russia, the company press service reports.

‘Starting January 1, 2018, Russia’s vet services will have to switch to Mercury, an electronic veterinary certification system. The solution MegaFon offers will help them comply with the new legislative requirements,’ the press service says.

According to the state agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor, 25% out of Sverdlovsk Region’s 70,000 vet clinics have switched to the system already.

‘What we offer is a vet’s mobile work station consisting of a tablet and a special mobile app that is integrated with Rosselkhoznadzor’s Mercury. This is very convenient for cases when a doctor has to work off site: they can draw up all the necessary documentation easily and quickly, and the data will get uploaded into the system automatically,’ says MegaFon Ural’s Corporate Business Development Director Inna Smirnova.
