UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 31, 2017. Sinara Transport Machines’ Lyudinovsky Locomotive Plant (LTZ) supplied three modern, electric-driven locomotive shunters TEM 9 to Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK), Sinara Group’s press service reports.
The contract for the production and delivery of locos was signed by STM and MMK in March 2017. This means MMK now has 13 TEM 9 and 50 TGM 6 pieces (all made at LTZ) in its fleet of locos.
TEM 9 was designed at Sinara Transport Machines’ Innovative Development Center in 2008; this engineering division has been home to the most advanced technical solutions. TEM 9 relies on the module assembly principle, which makes its operation and maintenance considerably easier.
