UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 14, 2017. Russian President Vladimir Putin considered a number of healthcare and road construction proposals submitted by acting Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuivashev, the Governor’s Information Policy Department reports.
‘Acting Governor was able to talk about a few socially important project proposals during the President’s recent business trip to Sverdlovsk Region. For one, Kuivashev told President Putin about the plans to set up an emergency unit on the premises of Municipal Clinic 40 in Yekaterinburg. A 5,300 m2 surgery block needs to be completed. Russian Vice Premier Olga Golodets is to inform the President about the ways to support the project. She will also report on the proposals to put up a children’s clinic in Nizhniy Tagil,’ the Department says.
A road-building project Sverdlovsk Region authorities hope to get funding for consists in the construction of Yekaterinburg orbital motorway and of a highway to connect Perm and Yekaterinburg and Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk. Some 6.7bn RUR will be required for the project throughout the next few years; the new connections are expected to help remove all transit traffic (primarily freight trucks) from the city roads. The report on the project will be delivered to the President by Russia’s Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov.
