UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 10, 2017. MegaFon’s telecom engineers improved mobile connection quality at Koltsovsky Tract to get ready for the International Innoprom 2017 Exhibition, the company press service reports.
The local traffic is estimated at 50,000 to 100,000 automobiles a day, and MegaFon promises to ensure great connection throughout the entire 12 km of the highway.
Given an increased passenger influx at Koltsovo Airport, steps were taken to make sure the network capacity proves sufficient. Both locals and visitors to Yekaterinburg can now enjoy the comfort of a speedy mobile connection and download their emails or videos instantaneously onto their smartphones and tablets while waiting for their flight or their luggage. Network setting were improved for the nearby Angelo Hotel as well, with a wider 3G coverage to ensure great voice connection quality.
Innoprom’s primary site, Yekaterinburg EXPO, underwent technical updates as well: Merkel Base Station will now provide reliable connection at all of the exhibition pavilions, even with the increased mobile traffic. According to MegaFon’s analysts, their network workload soars 250% every year during Innoprom. To avoid network failures, the company relies on fiber optics and radio relay lines for infrastructure checks.
