UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 16, 2017. Sinara Group’s Sinara Development obtained a construction permit and resumed working on its contract with Ural Exhibition Center to put up Congress Center in Yekaterinburg EXPO.

Sinara Group’s press service reports the company acts as both the customer and the general contractor for the project and intends to complete the construction jobs in June 2019. The goal is to put up a four-story building with a multi-purpose conference hall as its key feature. The project will require around 4bn RUR to implement.

According to Sinara Development’s Director-General Timur Ufimtsev, Congress Center is meant to open up more opportunities for Yekaterinburg EXPO. The new site can host large-scale public events in different formats. The center’s entire area will come to 41,600 m2, with the conference hall fit to seat 4,000 people (and 6,300 people plus the fan area during concerts).

‘The conference hall will be suitable for business events as well as for entertainment, stage performances, and philharmonic shows and will meet the strictest international standards in terms of architecture, acoustics, stage observability, comfort, and safety. There will be eight conference halls (total capacity: 1,200 people) and seven negotiation rooms in the building all in all,’ the press service says.
