UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 8, 2017. ChTPZ Group is going to deliver a set of weldless, stainless steel pipes for Belenergomash, the company press service reports.
The pipes are meant for pipelines servicing power-generating units 3 and 4 of Koodankulam Nuclear Power Plant in India. The pipes are expected to get shipped in the third quarter of the year.
Under the terms of the contract, the Group is to supply the customer with 80,000 kg of pipes (diameter: 325 to 426 mm; layer thickness: 12 to 16 mm) made from corrosion-resistant steel and with enhanced surface quality. By customer’s order, all the pipes will have to undergo thermal treatment and testing for flaws.
‘The Group has been contributing to a number of large-sale international infrastructure projects and delivering ever more pipes to India since 2016. This year, the share of the company’s Indian exports is expected to rise to 5%. The Indian customers mainly want pipes needed for mechanical treatment and production of equipment parts,’ says the Group’s Commercial Director Denis Prikhodko.
