SKB-Bank Among Sverdlovsk Region’s Top 10
5 June 2017 (13:31)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 5, 2017. SKB-Bank made it to the list of Sverdlovsk Region’s ten largest banks in terms of asset growth with its 109.4bn RUR, the bank’s press service reports.
Being featured in Kommersant’s rating mainly has to do with the bank’s impressive consumer loan book (over 62bn RUR by May 2017) that is currently among the three largest ones in the entire country (excluding the banks operating in Moscow and Saint Petersburg).
Kommersant’s analysts report the banking sector has been recovering visibly and gradually but very slowly. According to the Central Bank, ‘private borrowers tended to stay on the side of caution and were reluctant to increase their debt burden, which is why the demand for consumer loans was only moderate.’
