UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 1, 2017. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s head plant gave out the Managing Director Vladimir Roschupkin Awards to winners of Physics School Championship and the best students of Ural Federal University’s Nizhniy Tagil subsidiary. The solemn awarding ceremony took place at the plant’s I.V. Okunev Culture Palace, the company press service reports.
‘Ural Vagon Zavod’s Senior Engineer Yuri Shannon congratulated the school contest winners and presented them with tablet computers. The winners are Denis Baranov, a ninth-grade student of Lyceum 39, Gleb Bannykh, an eleventh-grade student from Gymnasium 86, and Pavel Cheshkov, an eleventh-grade student from School 61. This is actually the third time in a row that Cheshkov shines in a physics contest and proves one of the championship’s winners,’ the press service says.
This year, fifty-eight students from grades nine to eleven of Nizhniy Tagil’s schools have taken part in the physics contest. This is the fourth time the contest has been coordinated in town in order to both single out the gifted students and popularize the science that is essential to any employment-conducive engineering degree.
