UrBC, Yekaterinburg, June 1, 2017. Sinara Transport Machines’ Lyudinovsky Locomotive Plant held a solemn handing-over ceremony for the first TGM8KM loco that was made within the framework of the plant’s contract with Cuban Railways, Sinara Group’s PR Center reports.

The event was attended by Cuban Deputy Transportation Minister Eduardo Rodriguez Davila.

‘The project took off at Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum 2016, when Cuban Railway Union, EXIAR, and Sinara Group’s Sinara Transport Machines signed a trilateral agreement on supplying locos, rail buses, and the equipment needed to renovate railroads to Cuba. Sinara Transport Machines promised to deliver 75 shunters to the country in 2017-2021 as well as to give overhauls to the locos already in use at Cuban Railways, and supply spare parts and equipment to a depot in Havana,’ the Center says.

Additionally, Tradex Director-General José Antonio Arias Garcia and President of Sinara Transport Machines Sergey Panin signed a contract for the delivery of RA 26 rail buses onto the island. The deal amount comes to €25m.
