UBRD Launches Touch ID for M-Banking

30 May 2017 (10:28)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 30, 2017. The Ural Bank for Reconstruction & Development (UBRD) keeps improving its electronic and mobile banking services. Starting from May 25, iPhone owners who use UBRD’s m-banking services can get authenticated on the app through Touch ID, that is, with their fingerprint.

According to the bank’s press service, the option was designed and launched following the many requests of UBRD online bank users.

‘Virtually every one in two pieces of our customer feedback has to do with the missing Touch ID option. This is why we tried to meet our customers’ needs by introducing the fingerprint identification service,’ says the bank’s Online Sales Director Denis Tur.

To start using the service, you have to get your UBRD Mobile Bank app updated at App Store, then enter the application with your password as usual and agree to using fingerprint identification in the pop-up window.

The option will soon be made available for Android users as well.
