Russian Copper Company Holds Multi-Sport Competition in Chelyabinsk

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 23, 2017. The final rounds of a multi-sport children’s competition (Chelyabinsk’s Strongest Kid) was coordinated by Russian Copper Company in Chelyabinsk recently, the company press service reports.

‘The championship’s final stage took place at the track-and-field facility UralGUFK in Chelyabinsk on May 20, 2017. Forty-two young sportsmen and women competed for the title of the city’s strongest kid. They were selected from among over 5,000 local schoolchildren, who competed in the preliminary rounds beginning from October 2016. This season, Ivan Yakovlev, Danil Korovin, and Andrei Abdullin won gold, silver, and bronze among the boys and Eva Nikitina, Maria Shtykova, and Evgenia Kryakunova were the first-, second-, and third-prize winners among the girls,’ the press service says.

First-prize winners were given new bicycles, second-prize winners received scooter kickboards, and third-prize winners got roller skates. All of them also got special medals and cups that were made for the project. A twelve-year-old contestant Muratbek Abdullayev received a special prize for setting a time record when doing his competition tasks in the local round in Varna, Chelyabinsk Region. The young sportsman was given a bicycle.
