UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 19, 2017. Once the spring weather has set in, Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s Kamensk-Uralsky Foundry Plant (KULZ) resumed construction jobs in the boiling unit, the company press service reports.
‘The foundation for the boiler was laid by the builders last fall. The new ‘heart’ of the plant’s heating system will come to replace the obsolete, energy-consuming appliances,’ the press service says.
According to KULZ Senior Energy Engineer Sergey Selischev, the use of the up-to-date technological equipment instead of the old units is expected to result in considerable energy and heat savings.
‘Based on our preliminary estimates, our energy and natural gas spending will go down 15% and 18%, respectively,’ Selischev says.
This week, builders will start working on the wall panel supports. The 800-m2 building will be put up within the current construction season.
