UrBC, Yekaterinburg, May 19, 2017. EVRAZ Holding’s West-Siberian Integrated Metallurgical Works (ZSMK) are hosting their second corporate round of the blue-collar job championship WorldSkills on May 22-26, EVRAZ Holding Siberia’s Corporate Relations Center reports.

‘The championship will bring together sixty-eight contestants from the holding’s eight member enterprises: West-Siberian Integrated Metallurgical Works, Nizhniy Tagil Integrated Metallurgical Works, Kachkanar Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise, Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant, Raspadskaya Coal Company, Evrazruda, and EvrazTechnika. There will also be one participant from Brazil.
The contestants will compete in six different categories: Mechatronics, Welding Technologies, Wiring, Production Process Management, Chemical Lab Tests, and Sheet Metal Treatment. The event will be held at the plant’s range fitted with all the modern equipment in accordance with the WorldSkills standards,’ the Center says.

This is the first time EVRAZ corporate championship will invite students of Meridian Tech Center in the 10-13 age group to join. Also, students from EVRAZ secondary schools in the 14-17 age group will also compete in Welding Technologies, Mechatronics, and Wiring.
