UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 24, 2017. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s head plant in Nizhniy Tagil recently held its first plant-wide strategy and business management championship, the company press service reports.
The head plant’s blue-collar workers and managers of various levels all took part in the event. The championship was coordinated by the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy & Public Administration (RANEPA).
‘The goal is to help our managers develop such essential skills as strategic planning, long-term planning and plan implementation, and understanding of how a company’s various divisions interact. Being able to do team work was one of the most important criteria for competing successfully, as contestants had to organize a new group of people, decide on role-assigning, and make sure their team is a productive one,’ the press service says.
The event was attended by RANEPA’s LEADER-ID Director Vyacheslav Shoptenko, Director of the Academy’s Ural Management Institute Alexander Alexandrov, and GMC 2017 silver prize winner Sergey Ionin. Besides, Ural Vagon Zavod HR Director Sergey Saranchuk and Personnel Training Center Director Sergey Vassilyev helped supervise the contest.
