URBD Launches 3,000 More POS Terminals in 2016

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 10, 2017. The number of point-of-sale terminals that now accept the Ural Bank for Reconstruction & Development’s credit/debit cards went up by 15% last year.

According to the bank’s press service, the number of terminals thus rose by 3,000 units.

‘Retail businesses no longer wonder whether they actually need an acquiring terminal. Since we can offer speedy service, good prices, and flexible terms and conditions to businesses, our bank is now the acquiring market leader in Ural Federal District,’ says Head of UBRD Remote Services Center Ilya Skvortsov.

The Bank of Russia also reports that credit/debit card payments came to 80% of all the cashless transactions in 2016.
