UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 22, 2017. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s Omsktransmash manufactured a pilot batch of one- and two-blade poles (length: 11 m; diameter: 159 and 325 mm) by order of Gazprom, the company press service reports.
The poles are meant to be used for the construction of the Power of Siberia Pipeline and are suitable for extremely low outside temperatures.
‘The produce underwent acceptance and qualification tests at the plant, have been handed over to the customer’s Quality Control Department, and will soon be shipped to Siberia. The poles are made from highly durable alloyed steel and are expected to last for at least thirty years,’ the press service says.
The new produce was designed and made as part of Omsktransmash’s program for the expansion of its civilian goods range.
