Akademicheskiy District Hosts Ski Race

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 20, 2017. The annual amateur ski race will be held in Yekaterinburg’s Akademicheskiy District on Saturday, February 18, RSG-Akademicheskoye’s press service reports.
‘This is the eighth year in a row locals are taking part in this popular and large-scale sports event,’ the press service says.
The opening parade will begin in Wilhelm de Gennin St at 11:45 AM, followed by the competition itself. There are six different races to compete in: four children and teens’ races (one kilometer each) and two races for grown-ups (two kilometers each). The family race and the one for the grown-ups are likely to gather together the greatest numbers of participants.
The ski track has already been prepared and conditioned with the help of snow machines. Both the classical and the free style are allowed. the event is coordinated by RSG-Akademicheskoye and Akademicheskiy Management Company; the organizers made every effort to make this race a success.
