Head of Russian Copper Company Gets Order of Friendship

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 14, 2017. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to award Russian Copper Company Chair of the Board of Directors Igor Altushkin with the Order of Friendship, the company press service reports.

‘The decision has to do not only with his professional accomplishments and many years of flawless performance at work, but also Altushkin’s contribution to strengthening international business ties throughout Eurasia,’ the press service says.

Russian Copper Company Group comprises, among others, three member enterprises based in Kazakhstan: Aktyubinsk Copper Company, Cooper Technology, and Kazgeorud. The company is currently working on Vesenne-Aralchinskoye copper deposit that spreads across both sides of the Russian-Kazakh border. Now Aktyubinsk Copper Company is to be in charge of processing copper from Aralchinskoye section of the deposit and Russian Copper Company’s ORMET, Orenburg Region, will be processing copper from Vesenne section. A special Intergovernmental Agreement was signed between Russia and Kazakhstan for the purpose in 2014.
