Omsktransmash To Certify Testing Equipment
23 December 2016 (14:28)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 23, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s Omsktransmash was granted experts’ permission to get its military produce testing equipment certified, the company press service reports.
The plant is now busy upgrading its existing test stands that are used for strength, airtightness, and thermal impact tests as well as for simulating real-life operation conditions. The stands need to be brought in compliance with the current government standards.
Omsktransmash is Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s first member enterprise and Russia’s 55th company to be allowed to certify its testing equipment. The permission, granted by a body of experts from a state-owned scientific measurements institute, will eventually allow the plant to spend much less time and money on getting its testing equipment certified by external authorities.
The permission also means the plant can do its own metrological examinations of evaluation and certification procedures for new testing equipment.
