Ural Vagon Zavod Proves Nizhniy Tagil’s No.1 Charity Giver

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 22, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s head plant became Nizhniy Tagil’s Charity Giver of The Year and received the mayor’s honorary certificate and cup for its ‘long-standing social partnership and support for the locals’.
The corporation’s press service reports this is the fifth time the machine-building giant has won this award.
This year, Ural Vagon Zavod implemented a number of socially important projects that benefitted both the city and its residents. 159m RUR were directed to charity in the first nine months of the year alone. The funds got distributed among kindergartens and schools, NGOs, religious organizations, sports societies, law-enforcement agencies, and people going through a rough stage in life.
The company allocated over 3.5m RUR for Nizhniy Tagil’s educational establishments, including 1m RUR for schools in the city’s Dzerzhinsky District and 500,000 RUR for local kindergartens. Some money was spent on installing new window panes and workshop remodeling at Nizhniy Tagil Technological Institute (a subsidiary of Ural Federal University) and on repairs and remodeling at Nizhniy Tagil Metal Treatment School.
The company press service says Ural Vagon Zavod has been giving to charity on a regular basis for many years now, and this will continue in the future.
