Ural Airlines Fly This Year’s 6,000,000th Passenger

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 12, 2016. Ural Airlines flew this year’s 6,000,000th passenger for the first time in their operation history. The lucky traveler went from Yekaterinburg to Moscow on U6 263 flight today, the air carrier’s press service reports.
‘As is our custom, the airline presented this special passenger Denis Bardakov with a seat upgrade (to Business). According to Bardakov, he flies with Ural Airlines quite often, is the company’s Wings Club member, and is going on a business trip today,’ the press service says.
Ural Airlines offered their services to 5,995,826 people in January-November 2016 altogether, which was 18% better than one year earlier. The air carrier is planning to fly 6.4m more passengers by the end of the year, which will exceed last year’s figures by 1m people.
The airline has operated 43,726 flights since the start of the year (+10% on a year earlier), including 27,547 domestic flights, 8,139 international flights, and 8,040 flights to or from the CIS member states and former USSR republics. The company’s passenger traffic came to 14,258,038,000 passenger-kilometers.
Ural Airlines are this year’s 5th largest national market player in terms of passenger turnover.
