Ural Vagon Zavod Launches O&M Program

9 December 2016 (14:27)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 9, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s head plant keeps implementing its operation and maintenance and warranty services program for the company’s railcars, the company press service reports.

To ensure the best service, the company management decided to focus on two primary tasks: maintenance and in-plant repairs of railcars.

‘First, a lifespan maintenance unit was set up to control our rolling stock. We landed contracts with railcar repair depots such as VRK-1 and VRK-2 as well as with a number of private depots that will store our spare parts for us. There are currently twenty-one units operating in different parts of Russia, which means we can provide our warranty services anywhere throughout the country. Moreover, we took on ten new people as Ural Vagon Zavod’s regional representatives in Omsk, Leninsk-Kuznetsky, Novosibirsk, Nakhodka, Bataisk, and other locations. The idea is to have the plant’s representatives in places where our railcars get used in order to both protect our interests and to provide feedback, experience-sharing, and much else besides,’ the press service says.

The first five representatives have already visited the head plant in Nizhniy Tagil to get acquainted with the enterprise’s performance, see how railcars are made, and get answers to questions they got in their first working months.
