SKB-Bank Celebrates 26th Year on Market

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 3, 2016. SKB-Bank was founded twenty-six years ago on November 2, the bank’s press service reports.

‘The USSR Agroprombank was reorganized into SKB-Bank on November 2, 1990; it was on this day that the bank was issued its banking licenses,’ the press service says.

SKB-Bank is now one of Russia’s major banks with HQs outside the two capitals, with over 150 branches in all parts of the country from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka. SKB-Bank currently offers its services to 1.5m private customers and over 30,000 corporates.

The bank is the key asset of SKB Group and Kaluza-based Gazenergobank and was chosen by the Bank of Russia and the state-run Deposit Insurance Agency as the investor in charge of Gazenergobank’s financial recovery. The Group is a very successful and fast-growing business today.
