UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 27, 2016. The management of Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant negotiated with the First Secretary of Embassy of India in Moscow’s Technical (Defense) Wing Surendra Dhapodkar, the company press service reports.

The two parties spoke about their possible partnership and supplying Chelyabinsk-made engine parts to India.

In fact, the plant has been working with various Indian partners for over fifteen years now. Under the terms of an interstate agreement signed in 2001, the plant’s licensed engines are made in Avadi, India.

‘The Indian official visited Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant in person to take part in the talks and get acquainted with the Russian partners’ potential. During his meeting with the plant’s Director-General Vyacheslav Yumatov, Dhapodkar said this was his first time at the plant, so he would like to take a closer look at the well-known supplier that never fails to comply with delivery terms. He said he was thankful to all the workers who make good quality parts that the Indian customers are very happy with,’ the press service says.
