Ural Vagon Zavod Celebrates 80th Anniversary in Nizhniy Tagil

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 25, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s head plant celebrated its 80th anniversary at I.V. Okunev Palace of Culture in Nizhniy Tagil, the company press service reports.
Plenipotentiary Representative of Russian Federation President in Ural Federal District Igor Kholmanskikh, acting Sverdlovsk Region Prime Minister Alexei Orlov, Chair of All-Russian Defense Industry Workers’ Union Andrei Chekmenev, and directors of the corporation’s member enterprises all came to take part in the celebrations.
Igor Kholmanskikh, acting on behalf of the Russian Federation Commander-in-Chief of the Army & Navy Vladimir Putin, presented the plant with an honorary certificate ‘for helping to support the country’s defense capacity and development and production of up-to-date weapons and military vehicles.’
The corporation’s Director-General Oleg Sienko said Ural Vagon Zavod’s head plant would never set any production records or could boast social achievements were it not for the people who work there, making new kinds of vehicles and equipment.
