UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 10, 2016. Pediatric surgeon Marina Zaripova and the local clinic’s Chief of Surgery Ilnur Gainullin, two young doctors who came to work at Karabash, were recently presented the keys to the apartments provided by the city’s CSR partners Russian Copper Company and Karabashmed.
According to Russian Copper Company’s press service, the solemn ceremony was attended by Mayor of Karabash Oleg Budanov, Chelyabinsk Region Deputy Healthcare Minister Sergei Prikolotin, Russian Copper Company Vice President for Social Policy, HR & PR Olga Solodova, Karabashmed Director-General Andrei Khanzhin, Chair of Deputy Assembly Dmitri Shutkin, and Karabash Clinic employees.
Marina Zaripova used to have to commute to Karabash from the neighboring town of Miass on a daily basis. Ilnur Gainullin was forced to leave his family behind in Bashkiria for seven long months since there was no home for them in Karabash, Head of Karabash Clinic Lyudmila Arapova said. She was worried that all this could eventually push the new workers out of their jobs.
Following the city council’s request, Russian Copper Company provided the doctors with accommodation in Karabash. If they stay in the town for good, the company is likely to consider letting the doctors privatize the apartments.
