Spanish Visas No Longer Available in Yekaterinburg

10 October 2016 (14:41)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 10, 2016. Starting from October 11, Spanish Visa Center in Yekaterinburg stops issuing visas for the local applicants.

‘Visa applications can get submitted through October 10 and can no longer be submitted starting from October 11. Yekaterinburg residents can still apply for their Spanish visa in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, where Spain’s Consulates-General keep operating,’ visa operator VFS Global informed UrBC.

As it happens, VFS Global did not succeed in winning the Spanish Foreign Affairs Ministry’s tender for controlling its visa centers abroad, including Russia. Beginning this fall, their visa centers will be supervised by BLS International Services that now works with India’s representation in Moscow.

It is by now clear that BLS International Services has no plans of setting up visa centers outside Moscow and Saint Petersburg this year. The company is currently looking for Spanish-speaking job candidates to work for them in the two said cities.
