Ural Vagon Zavod’s Bogies Win Russian Railways’ Prize

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, October 4, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation took part in the 9th International Conference on Rail Machine-Building during the Innoarans 2016 Exhibition in Berlin, the corporation’s press service reports.
During the conference, winners of Russian Railways’ 7th annual rolling stock and technical systems quality contest received their awards. Russian Railways coordinate the contest in order to help bring the produce they use in compliance with the modern technical requirements, cut maintenance costs throughout a product’s lifespan, improve the goods’ quality and ensure their unfailing performance.
Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation won the second prize in the Rolling Stock & Infrastructure Components Category for its 18-555 and 18-555-1 (Type 2) bogies.
