Ural Vagon Zavod Executive Director Gets State Award

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 23, 2016. Executive Director of Ural Vagon Corporation’s Head Plant Vladimir Roshchupkin was awarded the For Merit to the Fatherland Order (Class IV), the company press service reports.
The important state award was presented to Roshchupkin by Russian President Vladimir Putin in the course of a solemn ceremony at Ekaterininsky Hall, Grand Kremlin Palace. The order was awarded for Roshchupkin’s ‘special contribution to the Russian machine-building industry, to defending the Fatherland, and to supporting the country’s defense capacity.’
Vladimir Roshchupkin came to work at Ural Vagon Zavod in 1985 as a Housing & Utility Department’s foreman. He was then appointed head of Assembly Department 7, Assembly & Road-Building Vehicle Testing Department, and Ural Vagon Vagon Zavod’s Assembly Department (one of the plant’s key divisions in charge of assembling the legendary UVZ combat vehicles). He was made Deputy Director-General for Production in 2007 and has been working as Ural Vagon Zavod Scientific & Production Corporation’s Executive Director since 2010.
