UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 20, 2016. Russian Copper Company signed a cooperation agreement with Tractor Hockey Club, the company press service reports.

Under the terms of this agreement, Russian Copper Company is to invest 100m RUR in the club in the winter season of 2016/2017 and will become the club’s primary partner.

‘Chelyabinsk Region is perhaps the most important constituency for Russian Copper Company, as five of our thirteen member enterprises are actually located in the Southern Urals. Also, we’ve always seen supporting both professional and amateur sports for both adults and children as one of our CSR priorities. Quite recently, the company sponsored a large-scale professional boxing championship in Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk and The Strongest Kid, a multiathlon that gathered together over 1,500 Chelyabinsk schoolchildren,’ the press service says.

The company is now planning to put up Arena Stadium in Chelyabinsk; the project was originally presented at the Innoprom International Exhibition in August. The multifunctional sports facility will be used by all kinds of athletes and sports players, including the hockey players and boxers, whose sports are so big in the Southern Urals.
