UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 19, 2016. Ural Vagon Zavod Corporation’s head plant and its member enterprise ChTZ Uraltrac presented their promising developments to Sirius Training Center in Sochi, the company press service reports.
‘The head plant handed over its two-axle truck 18-555 and ChTZ gave the center its exhibition sample of the T Series six-cylinder Diesel engine 6T370. The two products will now make part of Sirius’s permanent exhibition and will serve to educate high school and college students as well as promote interest in machine-building and vehicle-manufacturing industries,’ the press service says.
Ural Vagon Zavod’s 23,500kg-strong 18-555 truck is an innovative product meant for lighter railcars. The truck has improved dynamic parameters; besides, a number of new engineering solutions has meant the time between repairs is twice as long as with the older truck versions. Finally, the new truck make has a reduced railway impact.
Sirius had the truck installed on a five-meter-long stretch of railways for display.
